About me

My approach to counselling is one of curiosity, compassion, and connection–with these three factors in mind, I work together with you to explore your particular concerns. I have a background in health and wellness, mental health and addictions, and have worked in multiple health and wellbeing settings.

I have personally experienced the benefits of counselling, and am committed to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. When I am not working, I run and practice yoga. I also have an interest in the healing benefits of the arts, and enjoy playing music and attending the theatre. I am from Vancouver, Canada.

My qualifications include a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, and a bachelor’s degree in Health Science. I am a member of the BACP as well as a Fellow of the RSA. I have 10+ years experience in health, wellness and stress management.

About counselling

Selecting a counsellor or counselling therapist can be a daunting task. Research has consistently shown that the relationship between you and your counsellor is the most important catalyst for change. Searching for someone who is qualified is important, but more importantly it should be someone you feel comfortable with.

Any relationship takes time to build, and begins with a first step. With me, this starts with an initial no charge phone consultation to determine if we are a good fit. If so, then we will ideally book 12 weekly 50 minute sessions.

The first session will be a chance for you to share what brings you to counselling. You may be stressed, anxious, depressed or struggling with relationship issues. Whatever your particular concern may be, you can benefit from counselling.
